I had a really nice couple of hours fishing yesterday, which included a rainbow & two browns. Although the browns were a bit lean they looked to have survived the summer in perfect condition. Please note, I (and the fish) would be very grateful if you would release them without taking them out of the water unnecessarily.

Has to be said that my first take proved a bit of a shock as I lifted into it my tippet pinged almost immediately. The surprise was that it was 6.4 lb breaking strain!!! This little beaut came soon after.

This was working for me on the day. A size 14 olive damsel with a bit of flash and an orange bead, fished deep.
